A message from Katherine Jagow

We thank God for the many contributions we have received for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.  We have currently raised over $15,000.00.  Please use the attached bulletin inserts in your congregations so your members can stay informed about the opportunities to help our partner congregations and the whole Southern District.

Below please find two updates from our friends in the Southern District.  Please continue to keep them in your prayers!

Thank you,

Katherine Jagow

A letter from David Lewis, Southern District Disaster Coordinator:

Dear Friends in Christ,

Forgive me in advance if you have now received three copies of this newsletter -- email difficulties and revisions keep me from knowing who has received and who hasn't.

I haven't had the opportunity to meet or talk with many of you, but in so many ways you feel like friends as you encourage, organize and arrange for assistance with recovery efforts on behalf of the people and churches of the Gulf Coast and Southern District.  Thank you.

I've attached a brief newsletter (Nov_20_Partner_Update-Final.pdf) to let you know a few of the things happening in the weeks leading up to Christmas and how you and your congregations might help.  I've also included information about volunteering and housing at the volunteer camps.

Please share the information as widely as you desire and are able.

Again thanks for all of your help and please be free to contact us with any questions.

 Peace in Christ,

 David Lewis

 Southern District Disaster Coordinator
